The Klotz Institute of Karate, or KIK, teaches adult and children's martial arts classes. We teach Tang Soo Do, a Korean style of karate which has its origins in the early fifth century. Our school has an eclectic style which includes Ju-jitsu, current fighting methods, and takedown techniques.
Ken Klotz designed our challenging and fun curriculum and founded KIK in 1987. Our classes and seminars are taught by qualified instructors. Many of our senior staff have been teaching at KIK for over a decade.
What people are saying about our program!
"My kids learn self discipline, good sportsmanship and a skill that will last them a lifetime. The teachers at Klotz Karate have been some of the most important mentors in my childrens lives."
The Bannigan Family
"Just a few words of appreciation for the job you and your staff have done for my son, Christian. Klotz Institute of Karate has taught him well and has made my job as a parent easier. KIK has assisted me in developing him into a young man."
"KIK offers a serious, quality karate program which has produced a number of tournament winners and black belts, some as high as third degree. Yet, the atmosphere is almost a family setting. The instructors understand that progress is individual and incremental. Thus, the instructors do not criticize or belittle; they offer positive critiques - pointing out how a student can improve, not how a student was wrong."
"Thank you for your work, your patience, and your heart, and that of your staff."
"Our son, David has attended Klotz Karate since 1995. The skills and self-confidence that David has now as a teenager is directly related to the valuable training received at Klotz Karate. Classes are well structured to fit the multi-age levels of the students. The staff is always polite and courteous. Ken Klotz is the kind of mentor and role model that all parents search for to help their children grow into responsible adults. While the development of karate skills is the most important part of the training, Ken Klotz and his staff teach the students invaluable personal and social skills that help the students grow and mature into responsible men and women of character."
