Ive had a strong interest in clocks from an early age, possibly encouraged by visits to my grandfathers home, where there were a number of 18th Century tall case clocks (one of which is now in my own home).
An interest, however can accomplish little in clock repair without good technical grounding. In this regard, I was fortunate, in being able to apprentice with a very accomplished third generation clock maker.
Additionally, Ive sought to augment my instruction with formal training, including attending Oklahoma State Universitys horological program.
Of course, all of this is very much work in progress- one of the fascinating aspects of clock repair is that there is always so much more to learn.
